Sometimes a little break from the stressors of life gives us the peace we need to get through. This week, I’m sharing a relaxation track called Autogenic Training. This practice works to relax your cardiovascular system.

Pay attention to the temperature of your hands before starting. If you are stressed or anxious, your hands likely feel cold and clammy. By the end of the recording, your hands should feel warmer and dryer. While you might not notice this the first time you listen, with practice, you will begin to experience the benefits. Try incorporating this into your daily routine, as a way to start your day, relax at lunch, or prepare for bedtime.
For those of you with migraines, Raynaud’s disease, or any condition with circulatory issues, this practice is especially helpful for increasing circulation. With a regular practice, you may notice more benefit.
Find a comfortable place to sit with your back supported and both feet on the ground. Alternatively, you can use your mediation cushion in your favorite, quiet space. Take a few deep breaths. Press play.
