The healing process is specific to you, all you bring with you, all you leave behind, and all you carry forward. However, there are certain aspects that tend to recur for most people. There is a process that we follow that gives structure, yet allows freedom.
For most people, 4-6 sessions is the most beneficial. This timeframe is not guaranteed, yet it is some guidance for the length of time to expect initially. After the 4th session, you and I will assess the progress and determine next steps.
You are empowered… the choice is always yours, whether it be topics covered (or not), information revealed (or not), length of treatment, and all other options along the way. The therapy process is yours. I may offer recommendations, yet you are always in control of where healing takes you and how you get there.
Tell your Story. Share the important puzzle pieces of your life.
Express where you feel stuck, the ways you feel lost, the dreams left unrealized…. the beliefs and myths ready to be abandoned, the goals you are working towards, the truths you hold sacred.
Set your limits and boundaries and communicate your needs.
Hold space for you to share your story.
Find the patterns in the pieces and help you understand how you arrived at this point.
